Coach Mac, Lyn McDonald, has spent more than 25 years working with athletes, students, coaches, and teams.
He is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, a Licensed School Psychologist, and a LicensedPsychological Associate-Independent Practice, with more than 30 years of experience working with young people and families.
His background gives him a unique perspective on athletic performance. Coach Mac understands both the psychological principles behind performance and the realities athletes face in competitive environments.
Before beginning his professional career, Coach Mac played college football at Texas A&M University. He later served as a high school head golf coach, giving him experience on both sides of the athlete-coach relationship.
Today, Coach Mac works with individual athletes and teams, including collegiate athletic programs, to strengthen the mental side of performance.
His approach is practical, athlete-centered, and focused on giving competitors strategies they can actually use when the pressure is on.
